We had been searching for the right vehicle for quite a while. My husband and I decided to stop by the Tuscaloosa dealership off Skyland Boulevard just to see what they had on the lot. I had actually already had another vehicle in the process of being shipped to a different dealership to look at, thinking it would probably be the one I would purchase. While we were looking around, Stormy Williamson, one of the sales representatives, came out and warmly greeted us. She showed us a vehicle that we had somehow missed while walking the lot and was incredibly helpful in answering all of our questions. The Bright Spot: Stormy First, I must commend Stormy for her exceptional dedication. She was consistently kind, impressively knowledgeable, and demonstrated genuine commitment to her customers. She made it clear she was willing to come in on her days off to assist me if needed, and when I learned she works on salary rather than commission, her willingness to go above and beyond spoke volumes about her character. Stormy is exactly the kind of professional you want guiding you through a major purchase. The Reality of the Numbers Where this dealership fell short was in their willingness to compete on price. We explored both the Toyota Crown and the 2026 RAV4. While they did offer a modest discount on the Crown, it was the smallest reduction of the five Toyota dealerships I was actively working with. When I shifted focus to the RAV4—a vehicle in high demand due to the redesign and ongoing Toyota shortages—they wouldn't move a penny on the price. Their position was firm: RAV4s are selling well (many are pre-sold), so no discount was available. The Problem with "Relationships" Dealerships often talk about relationships and customer loyalty, but those words need backing. Offering a moderate discount on slower-moving inventory like the Crown, then refusing any flexibility on the RAV4, sends a clear message: you're not building a relationship; you're maximizing margin on popular vehicles. I ultimately purchased my 2026 RAV4 from Toyota of Montgomery, who not only offered significantly larger discounts on both the Crown and RAV4, but also beat my already-low credit union interest rate. A Word of Caution I was also disappointed that sales management resorted to disparaging other dealerships to keep my business rather than simply offering competitive pricing. Consumers should know: dealerships generate substantial revenue from their service departments. They're not just selling you a car—they're investing in your return for maintenance and repairs. That means there is room to negotiate, regardless of what you're told. My Advice Shop around. I visited five dealerships, and the difference in offers was thousands of dollars. If securing fair value matters to you as much as "relationships," push for the deal you deserve. If they won't move, take your business somewhere that will. Stormy deserves five stars. The dealership's pricing philosophy and tactics? That's why they didn't earn my sale.

This is an excellent service location, I drive over from Birmingham because Tuscaloosa Toyota is honest and reputable. They won’t sell you $1800 in unneeded services when you show up for an oil change (Hoover toyota will do that). The waiting area is also quite comfortable with a nice selection of food and drinks you can buy.

I can't say enough good things about my car buying experience. I was in an auto accident and was forced to buy a car without a lot of time to do so. Drew McCook listened to what I needed, recommended several that fit my needs, and did a great job of explaining the pros and cons of each vehicle, specific to what he knew was most and least important to me. Stormy went above and beyond to get us precisely what we wanted and she didn’t try and get me to change my mind or change anything about what we wanted… She was kind, precious person to deal with and never once made us feel rushed or pressured. We purchased a vehicle this week from Tuscaloosa Toyota and Drew McCook was our sales representative. We can not recommend Drew highly enough. He was very courteous, knew the answers to our questions, kept us updated throughout the process and all in all it was a very pleasant transaction. I purchased a new 2026 Rav4 Plug-in Hybrid from Tuscaloosa Toyota last week and couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience! I was searching in my home area of Houston, Texas for the right color/configuration but wasn’t finding what I wanted. So I got online, extended my search, and found that Tuscaloosa had the perfect car. Following my initial contact the General Manager, David DeSantis, reached out to me and we talked for several minutes to work out a tentative deal. He was straightforward, reasonable, and knowledgeable. After briefly discussing it with my wife I called David back and he put the wheels in motion to finalize the purchase. Soon after that I heard from Matt Headley with the sales team who started the paperwork. He expertly guided me through that part before handing me off to Teresa with the finance team. In no time the financing was set up and approved with no issues at all. Matt said he’d get the car ready to go and the only thing left to do was make the (625 mile) drive from Houston to Tuscaloosa with my trade-in to complete the deal. My awesome wife insisted on making the trip with me so after a couple days of rearranging our schedules we hopped in the car and cruised to beautiful Tuscaloosa, arriving at 3pm. Within just a few minutes, our salesperson Matt introduced himself before leading us to the new car. It was ready to go and waiting which I really appreciate. We took a short drive in my trade-in together before he handed it off to their appraiser to confirm that what Mr. DeSantis and I had discussed would be acceptable. Less than 30 minutes later I was surprised to see Matt, as well as his General Manager, walking over to my wife and I to say that everything looked good and we could finalize the deal. We were both impressed with David’s honesty and integrity, not to mention his easy-going demeanor. Being in the epicenter of SEC football, we discussed the Crimson Tide as well as my OU Sooners, and they took it well that I was a member of the opposition, LOL! From there we were escorted to the Finance Manager’s (Marcello Johnson’s) office to sign on the dotted lines (tablet screens actually). Marcello was expedient, funny, and absolutely a pleasure to work with. In no time we were done and heading back downstairs to take delivery of our awesome new Toyota! From the time we arrived at the dealership until we were driving out in the Rav4 it was approximately 90 minutes time. This was absolutely the best dealership and car buying experience I’ve ever encountered. Every single person was efficient, personable, and honest. I never felt pressured, and they gave us a very fair deal on a just-released new model. I recommend that you give them a chance to earn your business too!

Had an amazing experience from dealing with the team on the phone prior to my 3 1/2 hour drive, to getting the vehicle back to my driveway. David the GM, used car manager Trey, Kent in finance and especially Jason who facilitated the entire transaction, all were extremely friendly and professional. One of the best buying experiences!
